Now lots of latinamerican songs are entering the charts on the US.The music in spanish and the interest to learn the language are becoming something important,but theres a thing, no every latin american artist makes reggaeton, if you are learning spanish or are interested in the language but you look for something 'alternative' here are 7 artist you should listen.

Esteman

His 10 years of career made him one of the most recognized artist of Colombian alternative music. In the most recent album 'Amor libre' (2018) he shows his personal journey with love an tries to visivilize same gender love, it has dance and electronic sounds with his caracteristic honest lyrics.

* I had the opportunity to assist to his show in Bogotá in the Stereo picnic music festival and in his acoustic performance in the Cd autograph session of Amor Libre both were absolutely amazing *

Diamante electrico

This Band is recognized as an important exponent in the rock scene.Their roots has 50's and 60's rock and they include blues and pop ,they have winned 3 latin grammys and their latest album 'Buitres' (2018) include bops like 'Hacia la noche'.

Cocòcecè

A mexican artist,her pop songs has really autentic and raw lyrics. Cassandra's career is promising, it seems that she will become an icon for her generation,her first EP is titled 'Bestias de ciudad'.

Ventino

The Colombian girlgroup that attracted the attention with their powerful voices in a mashup video of disney princess and the divas tribute.The band has mainly balads and pop songs, their first album Ventino (2018) include singles like 'si desides'.

Nampa bàsico

A rap representative who also takes influence from Reggae and Bolero. He stablished his public within hiphop fans and also within the youngest people,here is 'Ya para qué' part of his album 'Según nosotros' (2016).

Monsieur periné

Mixing jazz and swing sounds, they got their firls golden disc with their album 'Hecho a mano' (2012).Their unique style made them have a european tour in 2014,here is 'Bailar contigo' a single of their lastest album 'Encanto tropical' (2018).

Vicente García

A Dominican composer influenced by Caribbean music, his songs include bachata,reggae and traditional music from his country.Winner of three latin grammys,'Espuma y arrecife' is a single of his album 'a la mar' (2016).

Mabiland

Neo soul,rap y acustic sounds and strong jazz influences, the artist born in Quibdó in the pacific coast of Colombia, she catch us with her unique voice and innovative proposal,new for colombia's music scene,her concept goes beyond music and multiple genres and includes her lyrics,image and videos to involve us in her world,her first album 1995 came out in 2018.

Surfistas del sistema

The Argentinean band stablished in Mexico had rock influenced by bands like Zoé and Camilo séptimo,after their nomination in Premios gardel for their self-titled debut album (2013) they called the attention of Gordon Raphael,producer of The strokes.

Technicolor fabrics

An indie band from Mexico that has been around since 2007,they were the oppening act for The whitest boy alive and gained attention of local public,they have a pretty dreamy sound and soft lyrics.Their latest album is Bahía Santiago(2015),this 2019 they have been very active with new singles.
